The Staff of Barr’s Insurance were recently NOTIFIED that they are a FINALIST for the Governor’s Community Impact Award.
This is a result of changing/impacting lives in our community with their selfless volunteerism. Besides taking a day from business to clean and weed the streets of our city last year before Oil Heritage Week, they have donated their time on the weekend to paint and furnish a place for our area youth to hang out at Youth Alternatives. Each Christmas the staff and their families carol at Sugarcreek Station along with taking them food, drinks, and cookies for their New Year’s dinner.
These are just a few of the ways that the Staff at Barr’s Insurance have given up their personal time and resources to make a difference in our Community. Below is the email they have received announcing that they have been selected as a FINALIST for this well deserving award:

Governor Tom Corbett will recognize you and announce the winners of the Governor’s Impact Awards at a luncheon on Friday, May 30, 2014, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, PA. An invitation to the event, as well as RSVP instructions and further details, will be sent at a later date. In addition to recognition at the luncheon, your company will appear in a special publication to be distributed at the event. Distribution after the Awards includes insertions into the Central Penn Business Journal and Lehigh Valley Business and distribution to all PREP regions throughout the state.
